Introduction

Ewha Korean is a series of textbooks, workbooks, and study guides comprising 66 volumes from level 1 through level 6, for students learning Korean as a foreign language. It is a comprehensive textbook covering the basic four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

While fostering balanced development of these four skills, the new textbook is designed with emphasis on enhancing speaking ability. The "Try it" section in each chapter is designed to help students improve their conversation skills without memorization by creating their own dialogue according to a given situation and explanation of the flow of the dialogue and vocabulary.

In addition, taking into consideration the demands and preferences expressed by students, levels 1 to 3 consist of two books each, and in levels 1 and 2 the instructions and explanations are given in English, Japanese, or Chinese(simplified and traditional).

◇ How to Use This Book

『이화 한국어 1-1 참고서』 and 『이화 한국어 1-2 참고서』 are study guides for Korean-language learners, accompanying the textbooks 『이화 한국어 1-1』 and 『이화 한국어 1-2』. These study guides contain detailed explanations of the grammar, vocabulary and expressions used in the 준비합시다(Preparation), 말해 봅시다(Speaking), 들어 봅시다(Listening), and 읽고 써 봅시다(Reading & Writing) sections of each unit. Additionally, the dialogues for 말해 봅시다, the scripts for 들어 봅시다, and the texts for 읽고 써 봅시다 have all been translated into English.
